Dust off your mallets. Shine your balls. Unbend your wickets.

Coming Saturday, May 21: The first annual Lawn Warrior Classic, a croquet tournament sponsored by the William G. Lauer Foundation as a benefit for ALS patients in Nebraska.

The entry fee is $40 for each competitor in this two-person team, alternate-shot tournament. All proceeds will go toward ALS research and support services for Nebraskans living with ALS.

We will provide a midafternoon lunch, croquet equipment, a big tent and an opportunity for a lively spring afternoon filled with competition, camaraderie and charity. Beer and nonalcoholic beverages will be available.

Bring your friends and family. Bring someone you’ve always wanted to dominate in croquet. Don’t forget your lawn chairs.

All tournament rulings will be made by Croq Master “Big” Larry.

Play begins at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 21 at Northwest 42nd Street and West Wilkins Street in Air Park. A link with directions and online registration is coming soon.
